Being Able to Customize Your Furniture is a Real Advantage

Everyone dreams of finding the perfect piece of furniture that suits their room and interior style. There’s nothing more chic and satisfying than when your new furniture arrives and blends seamlessly with or elevates the room’s existing ambiance—especially since we often choose our walls, floors, and decor before selecting furniture.

Customization is, above all, about color.

The criteria for choosing furniture typically include its style, shape, proportions, dimensions, and finish, particularly its color. It’s a shame to pass on a piece you love just because the color isn’t quite right!

That’s why all furniture in the ÉGÉE collection by Mon Petit Meuble Français offers 11 beautiful, muted, and trendy colors, specially curated by Eric Gizard, a renowned Parisian designer known for his impeccable and trend-setting taste. These colors were developed exclusively for this collection in partnership with our lacquer supplier. A matte black finish is also available on certain pieces, such as the KUBE secretary desk and the rectangular table. We can craft each piece in the ÉGÉE collection in this color as well.

Warm colors like Pluduno Red, Ruca Tobacco, and Lunar Yellow will invigorate your space, catch the eye, and bring your interior to life. These tones pair beautifully with dark flooring and a cozy, inviting decor.

Our four shades of blue and Lancieux Green are gentle, evoking nature, the sea, and the sky. These five colors beautifully echo the outdoors, bringing a refreshing and calming atmosphere to your space.

Furniture: A Key Ally in Creating Your Overall Decor Ambience

Solid Wood Tobacco-Colored ÉGÉE End-of-Bed Bench in a Bedroom with Bed and Mirror

While walls and flooring often form the foundation of a harmonious interior, furniture and decorative accessories play a decisive role in shaping the final atmosphere, creating a cohesive and inviting space.

When walls, woodwork, and floors are kept neutral, it’s especially the furniture that adds a personal touch to define the room's character.

In the accompanying photo, the end-of-bed bench in Ruca Tobacco lacquer has been chosen to coordinate with the tones of the mirror, throw blanket, and cushion, while the natural, bleached ash legs tie in with the flooring.

In this living room, the square table and oval console in Lancieux Green perfectly complement the green tones also found in the vase, plant leaves, and sofa cushion.

The ÉGÉE collection features a unique finish known as "shorts style," which is both intricate and challenging to apply manually. The colored section of the furniture starts at the "waist" and extends down to the "knees," requiring precise application, careful masking of adjacent areas, and accurate alignment for the horizontal finish on angled legs.

This finish creates a piece that harmonizes with both the flooring and the colors of walls or other furniture.

This sofa back table, with its “shorts style” finish, matches the parquet tone on its legs and offers a deep blue shade, close to the gray of the sofa.

Using the primary colors of the room without overextending creates a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

Creating a cohesive ambiance with multiple bold colors requires creativity, talent, and/or experience.

In the end, color choice is a matter of personal taste, and experimenting with different color combinations for your interior is a true pleasure, often leading to beautiful results.

Why Aren’t All Furniture Pieces on the Market Customizable?

Mon Petit Meuble Français stands out by offering a high level of customization, thanks to its artisanal manufacturing process. Each piece is crafted and finished individually in France, made to order.

This production model saves resources, bypasses the unpredictability of overseas shipping delays, and allows us to offer our clients extensive flexibility in defining their furniture.

On the other hand, a piece produced individually isn’t immediately available, unlike mass-produced furniture stocked by the hundreds and shipped within 24 hours. Our process typically requires 3 to 5 weeks for production, assembly, and finishing.

Is a unique, custom piece worth the 3 to 5-week wait? We believe it is, but that’s just our perspective.
